Tinkerdog Computers was started after Ben graduated University in 2003, although prior to that he had been fixing computers for friends and family to help finance his University Education.
For the first ten years it was run from a terraced house in Churchill Road where Ben would travel to houses within about a ten mile radius gaining valuable experience on not only how to service computers but also how to run a business (a steep learning curve).
Eventually it became impractical to continue running the business from home due to the huge level of demand and the need for a place customers could drop off and pick up their machines which wouldn't require a prior appointment.
It took a while, but eventually we found a shop in the town which suited our needs and we soon fell in love with it's quirkiness (it is hundreds of years old).
The business has changed a little now it is run from the shop, we are able now to supply computers, laptops, tablets and accessories and try and keep a good selection in stock at any time. We have also branched out into mobile phones and printer ink as it was what our customers demanded.
