MAKS 2911 SCALE AND CORROSION INHIBITOR

GENERAL DESCRIPTION

MAKS 2911 is a liquid blend of specific organic film formers, organic scale inhibitor compounds, polymers and a surfactant.

PRINCIPAL USES

MAKS 2911 is an advanced “All-Organic” corrosion and deposit inhibitor for open-recirculating cooling water systems. lt is designed to operate at high alkalinities and hardness, minimizing or eliminating the need for makeup pretreatment. MAKS 2911 is effective over a broad range of application parameters. lt is best suited where the alkalinity in the recirculating system will be within the range of 100-500 ppm. The inbuilt chlorine stabilizer and biodispersant for better slime removal enhances the efficiency of oxidizing biocide programs.

PRODUCT BENEFITS

  • Controls scale formation at high alkalinity or high hardness conditions
  • Effective corrosion protection on C-steel and yellow metals – “All Organic Inhibitor“
  • Multi corrosion inhibitor properties including Copper and Copper alloys
  • Not affected by the use of chlorine
  • Excellent dispersancy of biomass and particulate matter
  • Environmentally acceptable – does not contain heavy metals or inorganic phosphates
  • Reduces or eliminates acid feed or softening pretreatment.
  • Includes chlorine stabilizer to get the maximum efficiency from chlorine and decreases the usage of chlorine gas.

DOSAGE

The specific dosage of MAKS 2911 will vary depending upon the operating characteristics of your system, the water chemistry, and the severity of problems encountered.

Your BIMAKS representative will recommend the optimum dosage necessary to ensure maximum program performance according to your specific system parameters.

Important parameters (e.g. conductivity, hardness, pH, m-/p-alkalinity) have to be kept and checked regularly.

FEEDING

MAKS 2911 should be fed neat continuously to a location in the system where it will be uniformly mixed and thoroughly distributed (Tower basin or suction side of recirculation pump).

MATERIALS: Storage and application equipment (pumps, lines) should be made of PP, PE, PVDF, PVC, Butyl rubber, Nitrile rubber, Viton or EPDM. Do not use carbon steel equipment.

HANDLING-STORAGE-SHIPPING

As a standard precaution with all chemicals we recommend the use of personal protective equipments such as goggles and rubber gloves when handling. Consult the Material Safety Data Sheet as the only official source of Environmental and Safety information.

MAKS 2911 can be stored for at least 24 months from date of shipping if kept in its original, unopened container and under normal warehouse conditions. Protect from freezing and from exposure to high temperature.

MAKS 2911 is available in non-returnable containers of different sizes.

APPLICATION METHOD AND QUANTITY

The dosage quantity of the product changes according to the operating conditions and water chemistry of the system. BIMAKS representative will propose the appropriate dosage quantity to ensure maximum conditioning performance based on the distributed system parameters.
